Ever see the disclaimer: “This movie has been formatted to fit your screen?” Wide Screen Vs. Full Screen features directors explaining the difference between widescreen and pan and scan, which is how films are converted to a format for television. It makes me never want to watch a movie formatted for television again.

This is one of my favorite things that TCM has every done because it truly brings people’s attention to how detrimental “pan and scan” is to the viewing experience.
